Tanika Kinartail earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University–Bloomington and obtained her educator license in 2007. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management, along with a K–12 Building Principal license, also from IU–Bloomington, in 2011.
Tanika began her career as an elementary classroom teacher, serving in that role for seven years before transitioning into school leadership as an assistant principal in 2014. She spent eight years as a building-level leader, gaining deep experience in instructional leadership and school improvement.
Currently, Tanika serves as a Professional Learning Specialist in the Administrative Supports Department at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center. In this role, she designs and facilitates innovative, relevant, and engaging professional learning experiences for teachers, teacher leaders, and administrators across the region.
Her areas of expertise include AI support and implementation in education, teacher evaluation, professional learning communities, multilingual learner support, women’s leadership, and mentoring new administrators. In addition to her work at the service center, Tanika also teaches pre-service educators as an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College.
