As AI continues to reshape education, tech leaders must lead with clarity, collaboration, and strategy. This interactive workshop shares how the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC) developed and implemented an internal AI Strategic Plan aligned with CoSN’s strategic vision.

Participants will explore a replicable framework that includes forming a cross-functional AI workgroup, assessing readiness with CoSN’s AI Maturity Tool, setting priorities and timelines, aligning goals across departments, and embedding PD into staff structures.

Designed for CTOs, superintendents, and department leaders, this session features tools, templates, and group activities to help participants begin crafting their own AI strategy. Emphasis will be placed on inclusive planning, organizational alignment, and building staff confidence.

Attendees will leave with a practical framework, communication tips, and a PD model to guide responsible, sustainable AI use—reinforcing CoSN’s call for shared, visionary leadership in the age of emerging technology.

This session will share how CIESC embedded its AI strategy into internal operations to drive long-term cultural and professional growth. As AESA/CoSN Regional AI Trainers, the presenters bring broader perspective and tools for supporting both early adopters and cautious teams. The session emphasizes human-centered planning, cross-departmental collaboration, and practical lessons learned, offering a replicable approach to sustainable AI integration aligned with CoSN’s national leadership framework.
