Reg Leichty is founder of Foresight Law + Policy, PLLC, a Washington D.C.-based education law firm specializing in student privacy, technology policy, and broadband connectivity. He advises education agencies, institutions, nonprofits, and companies on federal education laws including FERPA, COPPA, ESEA, and the E-rate program.
Before founding Foresight Law + Policy, Reg was a partner at Nelson Mullins and senior counsel at Holland & Knight. He previously served as telecommunications, technology, and privacy counsel for Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Bill Nelson and as senior legislative aide to Senator Bob Kerrey.
Reg has extensive experience in coalition management, lobbying, and advocacy before Congress, the U.S. Department of Education, and the FCC. His expertise has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Education Week, and EdTech Magazine. He holds a J.D. from George Washington University Law School and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. Reg is a member of the D.C. and Virginia Bars and lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two children.
