Christopher Hoang, Ed.D., advocates for equitable education for all students and believes educational technology supports this. He believes edtech provides students and educators with the opportunity to level the playing field and be given opportunities that wouldn't otherwise exist. As the Assistant Director of Technology Innovation and Outreach at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), he leads a team of 12 professionals providing support to 80 school districts in technology integration.
He is the Board President of the California Association for Leading Innovation in Education (CALIE), which focuses on empowering educators to use edtech in meaningful ways to enhance student learning experiences. As Board President, he has worked with the rest of the board and the executive director in leading a meaningful rebrand and launch from CUE to CALIE.
