David has worked on student data privacy issues since 2017, which has included developing a series of popular student privacy videos and working as the Chief Privacy Officer at the Utah State Board of Education and directing student and child privacy work at the Future of Privacy Forum and A4L. In these roles, he works to find reasonable, practical, and creative solutions for schools to use data to help students learn while protecting their privacy. He also has thoughts on language learning and comma usage.
