Emily Dabek is the Assistant Director of Technology and Innovation at the Binghamton City School District in New York, bringing over two decades of experience in education. Her career foundation was built in the classroom, where she taught English Language Learners (PreK-12) and served as an Instructional Technology Mentor. Prior to her current appointment in August 2024, Ms. Dabek accumulated three years of administrative experience at the building level.
In her current leadership role, Ms. Dabek drives the strategic integration of technology across the district. She holds key compliance responsibilities as the District Data Privacy Officer and oversees essential data management systems, including eduCLIMBER and SchoolTool. Furthermore, she supervises the K-12 Library Media Specialists, the Challenge Program, and the Odyssey of the Mind Program. Her unique background allows her to support educators and students in integrating technology through a user-focused and transformative lens.
Dedicated to fostering student engagement and innovation through technology, Ms. Dabek extends her work into the community as a coach for both FIRST LEGO League and Odyssey of the Mind.
