Jared P. Mader

Assistant to the Executive Director for Innovative Strategies and Strategic Partnerships

Jared is the Assistant to the Executive Director for Innovative Strategies and Strategic Partnerships for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit, an ESA that provides support to twenty-five school districts, three career and technology centers and more than eighty non-public institutions across South Central Pennsylvania. Prior, he served for twelve-years as the Director of Educational Technology at the LIU and five-years as the Director of Technology for the Red Lion Area School District before that.

He was honored as the PAECT Outstanding Leader of the Year in 2017 and received the PAIU Dr. Gary L. Miller Memorial Distinguished Service Award in 2022. He also served as the President of his PAIU peer group for two years.

His insights and work have been highlighted in several prominent publications focused on education and technology, including articles featured in Digital Directions, Educational Weekly, AASA’s School Administrator, and Edutopia. Most recently, Jared was invited to serve on a White House panel, in the East Wing of the White House, hosted by former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

Demonstrating a commitment to professional development and certification, Jared was named and served as an ISTE Educator Certification Authorized Provider, representing one of only a few individuals in the nation to hold this designation at the time. More recently, he has been appointed to a select group of Regional Trainers in the United States for the AESA/CoSN Building Capacity for Generative AI in K-12 Education program, focusing on preparing educational systems for this emerging technology.

Jared actively contributes to the broader educational technology community, currently serving as a member of the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference (PETE&C). His commitment to sharing best practices is evident in his extensive history as a conference speaker and workshop presenter at major national and international events.
