Karen Miller, PMP is the Supervisor of Project Management in the Department of Digital Innovation (DDI) at Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) in Virginia. In this role, she leads districtwide IT project management practices, supports high‑impact instructional and operational initiatives, and partners with leaders across the organization to deliver projects that advance student learning and organizational effectiveness.
With more than 20 years of experience in information technology and project management, Karen brings a practical, people‑centered approach to leading complex initiatives in K–12 education. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and serves as the lead designer and instructor for the LCPS Project Management Academy, where she develops curriculum, facilitates professional learning, and coaches staff in applying project management best practices to real‑world school system challenges.
Karen is a frequent presenter and facilitator, known for translating project management concepts into accessible, actionable strategies for educators, technologists, and leaders. Her work focuses on building sustainable processes, strengthening collaboration, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
