For 30 years, Greg has been innovating and leading large-scale education data system projects at the local, state, and national levels. First, as CIO of the Massachusetts Department of Education and then as a consultant Greg has directed successful statewide education data projects in SC, PA, RI, IL, UT, NY, GA, ND, KY, and WY. Greg led the team that created the Common Education Data Standards (CEDS) data model for USED, and served on the Board of Directors of the School Interoperability Framework Association (SIFA). He co-chaired the development of two IMS Global technical standards, Competency and Academic Standards Exchange (CASE) and Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR). Mr. Nadeau was a primary contributing author to the 2019 ILR White Paper for the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board and the USED white paper on Blockchain in Education. He served as an expert consultant to the T3 Innovation Network. Mr. Nadeau currently co-leads the recently published IIEEE Std 1484.2-2024 LER Ecosystem Standard working group. Mr. Nadeau lives, works and is raising his children with his wife Kerri Lorigan in Somerville, MA. He serves as President of the Somerville Foundation.
