Barbara Haeffner serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Innovation for the Meriden Public Schools, where she has been instrumental in leading the district’s digital transformation and transition to a student-centered learning curriculum. Her vast experience stems from diverse roles as a former teacher leader, technology education consultant, and district technology supervisor.
Barbara's expertise in curriculum content and technology integration is highly recognized. She has guided staff and students in effectively integrating mobile devices and digital content across the K-12 curriculum. A respected voice in education, Barbara has presented at national conferences including CoSN, ISTE, AASA, and FETC, as well as at local institutions, the UCONN Executive Leadership Program, and NEAG School of Education. She is also a published author, frequently featured for her insights, and often welcomes visitors to observe Meriden’s digital strides firsthand.
