With over 15 years of experience in operations management, Lorne has a passion for creating systems that enhance user experience, efficiency, and quality. As the Manager of Enterprise Generative AI for the fourth largest public school district in the country, he is now responsible for leading the strategic vision and implementation of the district's AI ecosystem, overseeing a comprehensive, enterprise-wide framework.
Lorne oversees the district's AI governance structure and manages committees that focus on core areas such as AI literacy, technical development, and risk mitigation. His work involves developing and scaling a variety of AI programs, from professional learning initiatives for educators and leaders to AI-powered operational tools for central office staff.
Previously, he led the design and maintenance of the district’s Digital Learning Environment (DLE), which serves as the backbone for Skyline, the district's high-quality, standards-based, culturally responsive curriculum.
In addition to his internal leadership, he presents at national conferences and serves as a co-chair for task forces and committees focused on developing AI data rubrics and trusted application standards, bringing a national perspective to his local initiatives.
