Barbara Nesbitt, PhD (she/her/hers)

Dr. Barbara Nesbitt is a lifetime educator with more than 30 years in education. Barbara has been a teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and consultant with broad experiences in school districts in Virginia and South Carolina. As the Assistant Superintendent for Technology Services for the School District of Pickens County in SC, Barbara led the district’s transformation of instructional technology from a Bring Your Own Device district to a 1:1 district with a fully interoperable digital ecosystem. Under her leadership, Pickens received federal funds for a leased dark-fiber ring network, which is expected to future-proof the district’s broadband needs for decades. Barbara also worked with local utility coops to expand broadband access to the home. In her current role as a VP of Product for ClassLink, Barbara brings her practical school leadership experience to product development and feature improvements.
