Julia Freeland Fisher is the director of education research at the Clayton Christensen Institute, a nonprofit nonpartisan think tank that studies innovation across the public and social sector. Julia is author of the book "Who You Know: Unlocking Innovations that Expand Students’ Networks," which focuses on building students' access to social capital--their connections with peers, mentors, and industry professionals--that can expand access to opportunity. Her new research focuses on the ways that AI companions and productivity tools are disrupting human connection and how to curb those risks. Julia holds a BA from Princeton University and a JD from Yale Law School. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and two daughters.
