Digital accessibility is no longer just an IT or legal issue; it’s a district-wide responsibility spanning instruction, procurement, leadership, and policy. This panel brings together voices from across the educational accessibility ecosystem to highlight what proactive, inclusive implementation looks like in real K–12 environments.
Featuring district technology leaders from the School District of the Menomonie Area and beyond, as well as a nonprofit EdTech expert from Benetech, the session explores how K–12 systems can align to meet and exceed Title II of the ADA requirements.
Panelists will share real-world strategies for embedding accessibility into district operations, from professional development and purchasing to digital content and instructional design. Emphasis will be placed on collaboration between technology and curriculum teams, as well as partnerships with content providers.
Attendees will leave with tools, examples, and actionable ideas to strengthen digital equity, reduce legal risk, and build sustainable accessibility practices across their districts.
